Montana Special Needs Equal Opportunity Education Savings

Montana's ESA program allocates a share of a student's public school funding to a savings account. The amount, determined by the state's BASE aid and the resident district, is estimated between $5,000-$6,000 for elementary students and $6,400-$8,000 for high school students annually. Families are reimbursed by the Office of Public Instruction after submitting receipts for qualified expenses on a monthly basis.
