Oklahoma Homeschool High School Diploma Requirements

Requirement:
4 units of Mathematics, including 1 unit of Algebra I and 1 unit of either Algebra II or Geometry. The 2 additional units can come from the following: Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Math Analysis, Calculus, Statistics, Math of Finance, Computer Science, college dual-credit courses, approved career/tech programs, locally approved math-based application courses, or any math course more advanced than Algebra I.

Requirement:
3 units of Lab Science, including 1 unit of Biology I, 1 unit of Physical Science (must meet Physical Science, Chemistry, or Physics standards), and 1 additional unit from Physical Science, Life Science, Earth & Space Science, an approved career/tech program, a locally approved science-based application course, or any science course more advanced than Biology I or Physical Science.

Requirement:
4 units of English, including courses that teach grammar, composition, literature, or any English course.

Requirement:
3 units of Social Studies, including 1 credit U.S. History, .5 unit Oklahoma History, and .5 unit U.S. Government.

Requirement:
6 pathway units chosen by the school district to align with each student's ICAP. May include (but not limited to): additional courses from core subjects (English, Math, Science, History), world/non-English language, computer technology, JROTC, internships/apprenticeships, career and technology education, dual/concurrent enrollment, AP/IB courses, fine arts (music, art, drama, speech, dance, media arts), or other approved courses.
