Florida Homeschool High School Diploma Requirements

Requirements:
4 units of Mathematics. 1 unit must be Algebra I and 1 must be Geometry.

Additional Context:
Industry Certifications that lead to college credit(unit) may substitute for up to two mathematics credits (except for Algebra I and Geometry). An identified computer science unit may substitute for up to one mathematics unit as long as the same computer science unit is not used to substitute a science credit as well.

Requirements:
3 units of Science. 1 unit must be Biology I. The remaining 2 units must be equally rigorous science courses. 2 of the 3 required course units must have a laboratory component.

Additional Context:

4 units of English.

Courses typically include English Language Arts (ELA) 1, 2, 3, and 4. ELA honors, Advanced Placement (AP), Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE), International Baccalaureate (IB), and dual enrollement courses may satisfy this requirement.

Requirements:

3 units of Social Studies. Including 1 unit in World History, 1 unit in U.S. History, 0.5 unit in U.S. Government, and 0.5 unit in Economics.

1 unit of Physical Education.
