About the Instructor
Nashville native Will Sanford is a DIY tech enthusiast, tinkerer, and educator. He has been working with and learning alongside young people since volunteering to lead a coding club at his son’s middle school more than a decade ago. Will and his wife, Mary, also have a daughter who will be heading off to college in the fall of 2026. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, with a B.A. in English/Creative Writing. With a background in educational publishing and online learning, Will is especially interested in exploring how robot building and creative tech making can help build foundational STEM skills and knowledge in all kids--not just the ones who already think of themselves as future engineers. He loves developing accessible, hands-on activities that encourage play, improvisation, and collaboration for his company, Janky Robots.
